The Love of Sands
A thousand of thousand of years ago,
in the deepest part of the oldest sea,
two grains of sand slept soundly.
Some day when sunshine stroked the world of sea,
they awaked,
from a long long dream.
They had been two grains of lonely sand for a thousand of thousand of years.
But at that moment,
the moment they saw each other's face in the blue sea,
something changed.
They started to make their ways to get nearer.
Away
another thousand of thousand of years passed.
Just when they almost reached each other, one suddenly disappeared.
He was swallowed by an oyster.
When he was taken farther and farther away, dimly he saw her eyes.
She stayed there still.
And he felt a drop of tears in her heart.
Another thousand of thousand of years passed.
He became a pearl when he came back for his lost love.
Some voice was always saying to him:
she would be there.
He remembered it from her pure eyes,
a thousand of thousand of years ago,
when they departed.

not a silvery-white pearl.
She seemed to say she was waiting for someone,
but he could not hear it.
That moment, he felt lonely again.
Someone says, "The saddest thing in the world is
when he stands before you,
he doesn't know how much love him."
At last, his shell was washed off by the hands of sea.
That was, another thousand of thousand of years later.
He rubbed his eyes.
When he could see this familiar world again, only one thing
was he looking for.
Where, where was his love?
He saw her. There was a grain of sand lying there.
He asked in heart, is that you?
She lay there still, just as long long ago,
when
she slept soundly with him in the seabed.
But this time,
she didn't awake again.
He went near to her, and then quietly lay by her side.
They touched each other at last,
through thousands of thousand of years' time.
Some day sunshine stroked the world of sea again.
There were two grains of sands lying together
in the deepest part of the oldest sea,
Thousands of thousands of years passed them by...
